There has been a big change in many rules related to gas cylinder (LPG Cylinder), small savings scheme and banking. State Bank of India has increased the charge for withdrawing cash more than the limit on BSBD account from today. Apart from this, the prices of domestic gas cylinders have also increased by Rs 25.50.

2. Small Savings Scheme

The government has also taken a big decision regarding the small savings scheme. There has been no cut in interest rates for this quarter. In the second quarter (July to September) of the current financial year, the interest rate of 6.8 percent on NSC and 7.1 percent on PPF will remain the same. Apart from this, the interest in Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana is 7.6% per annum.

3. SBI customers will have to pay extra charge

Those having an account in State Bank of India will find it expensive to withdraw cash from today, that is, they will have to pay more charges than before. There has been a change in the rules regarding withdrawing money from bank ATMs, withdrawing money from bank branches and check books. Basic Savings Bank Deposit (BSBD) account holders will have to pay service charge if they withdraw money from SBI ATMs and other bank ATMs above the fixed 4-time limit. The customer will have to pay Rs 15 plus GST to the bank as service charge on every transaction above the specified limit.

4. New Check Book Charge

Apart from this, the charge of check book has also changed. SBI BSBD account holders get a 10-page check book free of cost in a financial year. However, after the free check book, now BSBD account holders will have to pay Rs 40 and GST for a 10-page check book. On the other hand, Rs 75 and GST will have to be paid for a 25 page check book. Apart from this, if an account holder asks for a 10-page check book in an emergency, then he will have to pay Rs 50 and GST for that. At the same time, senior citizens are exempted from this.

5. IFSC Codes of Many Banks Changed

Canara Bank and Syndicate Bank have merged, after which Canara Bank has changed the IFSC code of Syndicate Bank account holders with effect from 1st July 2021. Apart from this, IFSC codes of Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank customers have also changed. The old IFSC codes have been discontinued from July 1. In such a situation, customers have been asked to update the new IFSC code from today.

6. Union Bank of India made this change

Union Bank of India has merged Andhra Bank and Corporation Bank, after which Union Bank has asked customers to use only checks with new security features. Let us tell you that the old check will not be used from today. Apart from this, the IFSC code of both these banks has also changed.
