New Delhi: The difficulties of the economical airline company Go First are increasing continuously. Now the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued a notice to GoFirst. Aviation regulator DGCA on Monday directed the airline GoFirst, which is going through a serious financial crisis, to stop booking tickets for its flights immediately. GoFirst has been directed to stop booking and selling tickets directly or indirectly with immediate effect and until further orders. With a view to initiate the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process, DGCA has issued a show cause notice to Go First under the Aircraft Rules 1937. Sources said that the DGCA is of the view that the airlines have failed to fulfill their role as a trustworthy service provider.

Stop selling tickets

Go First has already stopped the sale of tickets till May 15. Along with this, the airline has canceled its flights till May 12. Last week, the airline also filed a voluntary bankruptcy resolution application before the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) citing financial crisis arising out of timely engine deliveries. The petition has been heard and the decision has been reserved.

Will have to answer within 15 days

According to sources, after the crisis deepened in Go First, the DGCA has asked it to immediately stop booking tickets directly or indirectly till further orders. Apart from this, it has also been asked to respond if the aircraft is not able to operate within 15 days. Sources said that a decision will be taken on the continuation of the Air Operators Certificate granted to GoFirst only on the basis of the response received from GoFirst.
