The scheme was launched in Raipur during the local Haregi festival.

If a farmer has three or four animals, he can easily earn 1500 rupees per month. If PM farmers get Rs 6000 annually under the scheme, then they will get Rs 12,000 annually under Godan Nyaya Yojana.

Under the Central Government’s Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi or PM Kisan Scheme, farmers across the country get 6000 rupees annually in three equal installments.

Thousands of people have got employment through various activities like mushroom production, poultry production, fisheries, goat rearing, rice mill, kodo-kutki and lac processing in the Gothans of the state, including the Godhan Nyaya Yojana.

He informed that women self-help has produced about 6 lakh quintal vermi compost in Gothan. The production of vermi compost is estimated to be 12 lakh quintals in a few days. If 20 lakh quintal vermi compost is produced in a year, then its business will be worth two thousand crore rupees.

Under the scheme, payment is made every 15 days.

Chief Minister Baghel launched the Godhan Nyaya Yojana on 20 July 2020. Based on the recommendations of the Subcommittee of the Cabinet, it was decided to buy cow dung at the rate of two rupees per kg from the landless people.

Under the scheme, every 15 days, instead of buying cow dung, the amount is being paid to cattle herders and cow dung collectors.

Under the scheme 33 lakh quintal of cow dung has been purchased so far. Another advantage of the scheme is that the environment is also being purified by stopping the burning of cow dung by making it.

Organic farming is increasing in the state with the use of vermi compost. Those who do not have arable land or livestock are also getting good income through this scheme.

To take advantage of this scheme, the applicant must be a native of Chhattisgarh. He should have Aadhaar card, his bank account, mobile number etc. The applicant will have to give information about the number of his animals to the concerned department.

Farmers and traders with large holdings cannot take advantage of this scheme. Apart from this, 59.42% of the beneficiaries are males and the rest 40.56% are females. There are more than 57 thousand landless farmers among the beneficiaries.
