Gold prices in India remained high on Thursday due to the weak US dollar. At Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) today, gold opened at Rs 120 higher than yesterday’s closing and came to ₹ 47,120 per 10 grams. At the same time, the price of silver has increased by 0.27 percent to Rs 69,809 per kg.
Gold and silver showed mixed trends after the US Treasury Secretary’s adverse remarks on interest rates on Wednesday. Gold June futures were set at $ 1784.30 per troy ounce, while silver July futures stood at $ 26.52 per troy ounce.

On Thursday, the price of gold rose by Rs 120 on the Multi Commodity Exchange. June futures gold is trading at 47,120 per 10 grams. On the other hand, silver prices have also registered a sharp rise on MCX. The price of May futures silver has increased by 0.27 per cent to Rs 69,809 per kg.
Manoj Jain, Director (Head-Commodity and Currency Research), Prithvi Finmart said, “The rebound in the dollar index limited gains in both precious metals. We were expecting both precious metals to remain volatile in Thursday’s session. “
