According to the website of the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, in view of the Kovid-19 crisis, it has been decided that the additional installment of Dearness Allowance given to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief to Central Government pensioners from January 1, 2021, will not be paid. . The payment of existing rates of 17 per cent DA/DR will continue till July 1, 2021. But now the new rates of DA / DR will be restored.

11% increase together

Explain that the Central Government employees will be given increased DA from the month of September. The dearness allowance of central employees is going to increase by 11 percent simultaneously.

Dearness allowance has been stopped for three times

First in January 2020, 4 per cent in dearness allowance and then by 3 per cent in July 2020 and finally 11 per cent in January 2021, including an increase of 4 per cent. This will be added to the existing 17 per cent. Due to this, the dearness allowance will be 28 percent in total.

Variable dearness allowance also increased

In May, the Ministry of Labor and Employment had announced that the variable or variable DA of more than 1.5 crore central government employees would be increased. The variable DA of the employees will be increased from Rs.105 to Rs.210. This wage hike, which will take place on 1 April 2021, will also lead to an increase in the minimum wage for central sector employees and workers.
