Employment opportunities will increase for youth through training

For this, a provision of more than Rs 3000 crore will be made under the existing National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS).

Initiatives with UAE and Japan, other countries will also be added

The Finance Minister said that an initiative is under process to determine skills eligibility, assessment and certification as well as deployment of certified personnel in partnership with the United Arab Emirates (UAE). A collaborative training inter training program (TITP) is also underway in Japan and India to assist in the transfer of Japanese industrial and business skills techniques and knowledge. The Finance Minister said that such initiatives will be taken with more and more countries.

Special scheme will be made for tea laborers

The Finance Minister said that there is a proposal to provide Rs 1000 crore for tea laborers in Assam and West Bengal, especially for women and their children. A special plan will be prepared for this. At the same time, in compliance with the measures taken for the weaker sections, the Finance Minister announced to extend cash flow assistance under the Stand Up India Scheme for Scheduled Castes, Tribes and Women. It has been proposed to reduce the margin money requirement from 25 per cent to 15 per cent and also to include loans for farming-related activities.

750 Eklavya Residential Model Schools, Rs 35,219 crore for students

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that a target has been set to establish 750 Eklavya Model Residential Schools in tribal areas. It has also been proposed to increase the cost of each such school from 20 crores to 38 crores and in the remote areas of Duruh to 48 crores.

He also said that the Post Metric Scholarship Scheme for the welfare of Scheduled Castes has been redesigned and central assistance has also been increased. A total allocation of Rs. 35,219 crore for six years is being made by the year 2025-26. is. He said that this would benefit 4 crore scheduled caste students.
