Good news: Railways has increased 117 AC coaches in these trains, check details

In response to the difficulties faced by passengers due to the increase in airfares and the IndiGo crisis, the Railways has added 117 AC coaches. This move will provide passengers with an affordable and comfortable travel option, especially during the summer. This is expected to provide significant relief to passengers.

New Delhi. Due to the massive cancellation of flights by IndiGo and skyrocketing fares by other airlines, thousands of passengers stranded at airports across the country are heading to nearby railway stations to reach their destinations.

Amidst the IndiGo crisis, the Indian Railways has taken a major step. The Indian Railways has added 116 extra coaches to 37 trains across several zones to facilitate passengers facing travel difficulties due to the IndiGo crisis. This step has been taken because the massive cancellations and delays of flights have led thousands of people to seek alternative travel options, leading to increased demand.

Northern Railway has also planned five special trains and is preparing to introduce additional services to handle the heavy passenger traffic. These extra coaches include sleeper, AC chair car, and general second class segments, depending on the route’s needs.

There are also plans to introduce 30 new special trains with 18 coaches each, each capable of carrying 30,780 passengers. These trains will carry 2,116,800 passengers in 57 trips.
