Good News: Workers will not work from 12 noon to 3 pm, will get full salary, government announced

In view of the scorching heat, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi has directed to give workers three hours leave in the afternoon. The LG has said that workers will be given leave without salary deduction from 12 noon to 3 pm.

Amidst the scorching heat in most of the plains of the country, Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor (LG) VK Saxena has taken a big decision. LG has directed that in this scorching heat, the workers will get leave from work from 12 noon to 3 pm. Also, no one can cut the salary of the workers in lieu of this relief.

According to the instructions of Delhi’s LG VK Saxena, workers will have to have paid leave from 12-3 pm. Instructions have also been given to provide adequate amount of water and coconut water to the workers at the construction site. Along with this, it has also been asked to keep water in pitchers at the bus stand.

LG expressed displeasure over Delhi government

Along with this directive on Tuesday, LG has also criticized Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his ministers for not taking any action on the ‘Summer Heat Action Plan’. Actually, DDA has been doing this since May 20, but Delhi Jal Board (DJB), Public Works Department (PWD), Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) coming under the Aam Aadmi Party government have not taken any action on it. Therefore, the Lieutenant Governor has issued instructions to the Chief Secretary to hold an immediate meeting on this issue.

Temperature reached 50 degrees in some parts

Let us tell you that most of the areas of North India are burning like a furnace. In some parts of Delhi, the mercury has also risen to about 50 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. Apart from Delhi, half of India is also burning in the fire of the sun.

Why is it so hot in Delhi?

The reason for the heat in Delhi is the states around it. There is land all around Delhi, that is, there is neither any mountain nor any sea near it, but a little far from it is the desert state of Rajasthan, where the sand starts heating up due to the heat and the winds coming from there start increasing the temperature of Delhi. One reason behind the heat at present is also the hot wind coming from the west. Due to this, the desert heat flows into the plains of the north-west. Due to this, the temperature of Delhi and its surroundings increases rapidly. Even the temperature has reached 50.
