The appointment of 10,000 new Home Guard personnel has been approved in Delhi. Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena on Monday approved the recruitment of new Home Guard soldiers. Along with this, LG has ordered to do recruitment till March 2024. LG Saxena held a review meeting regarding the appointment of 10,285 new Home Guard Volunteers. After this he directed the officials to end the recruitment process from June 2024 to March 2024. It has also been informed by the LG office that the Lieutenant Governor has also directed that the recruitment process should be completed expeditiously and complete transparency should be maintained in the appointment. Former CDVs should also be given 10 bonus points in appointment. The recruitment process should be speeded up by deploying more teams so that the physical examination process can be expedited.
In a release issued by the LG office, it has been said that once appointed, the volunteers will be given Rs 25,000 every month. LG Vinay Kumar Saxena has also ordered that the age limit for appointment in Home Guard has been increased to 45 years. Educational qualification has been kept from class 10 to 12. There is a similar educational qualification rule for the appointment of constable in Delhi Police. CDVs will be given 10 additional numbers during the appointment process. The Lieutenant Governor has directed that a senior officer from each district administration, Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) will act as a board and conduct the physical examination of the candidate.
The LG said that 15 teams will ensure that the recruitment process is completed expeditiously. To maintain transparency, the entire process will be videographed through CCTV cameras. Appointments will be made at 10 places. CCTV cameras will be installed at all places. Once a candidate clears the physical test process then he/she will be eligible for Computer-based Entrance Test (CBT). Physical Measurement and Efficiency Test (PMET) will be held in the first week of February 2024. After this there will be CBT. Filen results will be declared in March 2024.
