Mukhyamantri Kanya Suraksha Yojana

Under the scheme, the government invests ₹2,000 in a fixed deposit for every eligible daughter from a BPL family. Note that if the daughter dies, this amount is returned to the Women and Child Development Corporation.

Who is eligible?

The daughter must be a resident of Bihar.

The daughter must have been born on or after November 22, 2007.

The family must be below the poverty line (BPL).

A maximum of two daughters in a family can benefit from this scheme.

These documents are mandatory.

Several documents are required when applying for this scheme. These include the daughter’s birth certificate, the family’s BPL card, the parents’ Aadhaar card, bank account details, and, if the daughter has died in the past, her death certificate. Submitting these documents completes the application.

How to Apply

  • Applying for this scheme is done offline.
  • Obtain an application form from the Women and Child Development Corporation office or a local designated government office.
  • Fill out the form accurately and attach the required documents.
  • Submit the completed form to the nearest government office or relevant official.
  • The documents will be verified and eligible beneficiaries will be notified.
