Taiwan-based electric vehicle manufacturer Gogoro has recently announced an agreement with Hero Motocorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer. Under the agreement, Hero bike electric bikes and scooters will come to India and Gogoro will provide battery swapping technology to the entire infrastructure. Under the agreement, not only will the electrical vehicles be developed in India, but Hero MotoCorp will also market them.
Gogoro will benefit from Hero MotoCorp’s large retail channel, which is the largest for any two-wheeler OEM in India. Gogoro has the responsibility of laying battery swapping technology across the country, after which Hero MotoCorp will launch electric scooters.
The purpose of this e-scooter will be to attract the youth. Hero will bring the electric scooter e-Maestro for families. With this, the company wants to attract the youth with a different look and design.
