Honorarium Hike: There is relief news for 25 thousand Upanal employees of Uttarakhand. The Finance Department has approved increasing the honorarium of employees by 10 percent. Government orders will be issued in this regard soon. For other demands, a committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, which will soon submit the report to the government.
Uttrakhand UPNL Employees: There is good news for UPNL employees of Uttarakhand. Soon the honorarium of Upanal employees will increase by 10 percent. For this, the Finance Department has approved the proposal. Secretary Soldier Welfare Deependra Chaudhary has said that soon the government order for honorarium increase will also be issued. More than 25 thousand employees of the state will benefit from this honorarium increase.

- Secretary Soldier Welfare Deependra Chaudhary said that a proposal to increase the honorarium by 10 percent was sent to the Finance Department, which has been approved, a government order will be issued soon. This will give a benefit of Rs 1200 to Rs 3600 in salary. The holidays during the agitation period will be adjusted in the permissible leaves of the employees.
- Upanal Employees United Front said that a committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary regarding the continuous removal of employees from the department, deferred dearness allowance in energy corporations and other demands, which will submit its report within 30 days.
- Let us tell you that earlier in October 2021, the honorarium rates of employees were changed. Since 2004, the state government has increased the honorarium of Upanal employees seven times and revised the incentive allowance twice.
Employees had postponed the agitation after CM’s assurance
Actually, Upanal workers were demanding increase in honorarium for a long time, but the government did not pay attention to it. After this, from February 12, Upanal Employees United Front opened a front against the Pushkar Singh Dhami government and boycotted statewide work, due to which the government work of many departments started getting affected. After this, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami and Secretary Sainik Welfare met the employees union and gave assurance on various demands including increase in honorarium.
DA arrears of roadways workers also approved
Many important decisions were taken in the 35th meeting of Uttarakhand Roadways Board on Friday. The most important decision in this is to approve the arrears-DA of roadways employees. This will benefit more than 2500 roadways employees. A proposal was also passed in the cabinet that roadways can appoint retired employees on a fixed honorarium for three months of the traveling period. The cabinet has also given permission to roadways to take the services of retired employees during the Chardham Yatra. However, the proposal to provide Child Care Leave (CCL) facility to women employees has been postponed for now.
