Main reasons for making duplicate ration card:-
Any ration card holders are required to make a duplicate ration card for the following reasons:-
If the original ration card is completely damaged or the information given in it has become blurred.
If the original ration card has been stolen.
If the original ration card has been lost or got into the wrong hands.
To obtain a duplicate ration card, the application has to be submitted to the concerned department by filling the application form. Application can be submitted through both online or offline mode. But still some states take the application form through offline mode only.
Documents required for making duplicate ration card:-
A written application form by the head of the family in which the reason for making a new ration card should be written.
- If the original ration card is stolen, then the copy of the FIR.
- If available, the applicant should also attach a copy of the original ration card.
