What are the rules for NRIs

UIDAI said that if any service provider needs Aadhaar based verification for an NRI, then NRI citizens will have to follow those rules for this. NRIs can contact their service providers for such verification.
According to UIDAI, there are certain rules to be followed for giving an Aadhaar card to an NRI. For example, an NRI needs an Indian passport to get an Aadhar card. If you have to submit your passport as proof for your spouse, your spouse’s name should also be present on your passport.
Aadhar card for children of NRIs
UIDAI follows these rules to create an Aadhaar Card for the children of an NRI.
If the child is an NRI then his valid Indian passport is required and if the child is an Indian citizen, it is necessary to submit any document for relationship with the parents. Apart from this, one of the parents has to give approval on behalf of the child.
Mobile verification
In the details given for Aadhar card, you will have to give Indian mobile number only. UIDAI has told that till now the approval of international numbers for Aadhar card has not been given.
