EPF members can do their PF online work through UAN number, but EPF members are required to generate their UAN number and activate it. After which after updating KYC in UAN, you can do all the work of PF online. So let us know how to generate your UAN number and how to activate UAN number?
PF number is given to you from the HR department of the company or organization in which you work, through which you can generate your UAN number.
How to generate UAN number?
- First of all you have to go to UAN member portal in your browser
- Here you have to click on the option of Know your UAN status in Important Links.
- After this a new page will open where you have to enter some of your information.
- Enter Member ID- Here you have to enter your Establishment Code, Extension Code and Employee Code after selecting State and Office from the dropdown-menu, which is your PF number.
- If you do not have PF number, then you can also generate your UAN number by selecting the option AADHAAR or PAN.
- After this you have to enter your name, date of birth and mobile number. Keep in mind that this information should match with your PF details, otherwise there will be an error in generating UAN number.
- After entering all the information correctly, enter the captcha code, and click on the button with Get Authorization Pin.
- After this your UAN number will be sent to your mobile. which you have to activate.
Uan Number activate kaise kare?
Now that we have generated our UAN number, now we need to activate our UAN number. So let’s know how you can activate your UAN number?
- First of all you have to come to the home page of UAN member portal.
- Here you have to click on the option of Activate UAN in Important Links.
- After this a new page will open, where you can activate your UAN number through your UAN number, MEMBER ID, AADHAAR or PAN number. Select any one of these information and enter it.
- After that you have to enter your name, date of birth and mobile number, which is in your EPF record.
- After entering all the information correctly, also enter the captcha code and click on Get Authorization Pin.
- If the information is found correct, your UAN number will be activated and confirmation will be sent to your mobile through a message.
- In which the password of your UAN number will also be sent. Through which you can login to the UAN member portal. If you want, you can also change this password through Forgot Password.
