  • Aadhar Card / PAN Card / Voter ID Card / Driving License

HOW TO PORT YOUR BSNL MOBILE NUMBER TO JIO THROUGH WEBSITE?

Like we have told you above that you also get the option of online SIM delivery from Jio, however if you want, you can also go to your nearest store and put the request for porting through offline. Although you have to carry your address proof and identity proof with you for this, you have to carry them both online and offline. However, let us also tell you that for now the online delivery of SIM is limited to postpaid customers only.

For this, you have to first go to the Jio website, and here you have to enter your full name and your mobile number.

  • After this you have to click on the Generate OTP button.
  • Now you are going to get an OTP on your same mobile number which you have entered here, it is going to be sent to you through an SMS.
  • After this you have to enter the OTP and click on Validate OTP.
  • Now you are going to see a new screen, where you are going to be asked for information about your address.
  • Here you have to enter your complete address including your locality, pin code, flat/house number and landmark etc.
  • After this you have to click on the confirm button and press on the submit button and after that you will get the SIM delivery request registered. After this, you are going to get a call from Jio, who is going to take an appointment for the delivery of the new SIM from you.
  •  Here you have to get information about the MNP facility during this call, and get a UPC i.e. Unique Porting Code generated.
  • You are going to get this by giving PORT space on your mobile, then entering your mobile number and sending it to 1900.

HOW TO PORT YOUR MOBILE NUMBER TO JIO WITH THE HELP OF MYJIO APP?

You Can Also Port Your BSNL Mobile Number To Jio Connection Through MyJio App:

  • For this, first you have to go to MyJio app.
  • Here you will see an option, “Not a Jio User”, you have to click on this option.Now you are going to see an option on a new screen here “Port-in to Jio” Click on this option.
  • Now in the app you are going to be asked to enter your full name and mobile number. When you have entered your mobile number and other details here, it tells you that you have to click on the Generate OTP button.
  • Here you have to fill a form, here you have to enter your delivery location details, these include your locality, pin code, and flat or house number etc.
  • Now that you have entered your location details, you have to click on the confirm button.
  • Now you are going to get a call from Jio, in which you are going to be asked for your address information regarding SIM delivery, it can also be said that your address is going to be verified.
  • Here you have to get information about MNP facility from them, and tell them whether you want to port your BSNL number to Jio prepaid or Jio postpaid.

HOW TO PORT OFFLINE YOUR BSNL MOBILE NUMBER TO JIO CONNECTION?

If you want to port your BSNL / BSNL mobile number to Jio connection, then you can do this work offline apart from website and app. Let us know how you will port your BSNL / BSNL mobile number to Jio number offline!

For this you have to first generate a UPC, you have to do this after sending a message, for this you have to enter your 10 digit mobile number after the space by typing PORT in the message box of your mobile phone, and after that you It has to be sent to 1900.

After this you will get a message, which you will get from 1901, in which you will get the UPC Code and its expiry date.

With this UPC code, you have to go to your nearest Jio store or Jio retailer, however here you have to take your address proof and identity proof.


Let us also tell you here that you have to clear all your past dues for porting from BSNL/BSNL to Jio, that is, you should not have any transaction with your current operator. However, you have to do this only if you are using a postpaid connection. However, if you are using a prepaid connection, then you also have to keep in mind that your prepaid balance is not going to be carried forward. If you come to Jio then you have to start from scratch.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PORT A MOBILE NUMBER I.E. FROM BSNL TO JIO?

If you are changing your mobile number in a single circle i.e. porting then it takes about 3 working days for your new number to be activated.

However if you are porting to another circle it takes about 5 working days, and your services are not going to be interrupted during this time.


However, if we talk about Assam and North East apart from Jammu and Kashmir, then it takes about 15 days. However, during this time your services are not going to be interrupted.
