HUL Q4 profit up by 45% at Rs 2190 crore, declaration of dividend of Rs 17 / share to investors

HUL Q4FY21: FMCG sector major HUL has delivered better than expected financial results in the March quarter. In the fourth quarter, HUL’s profit grew nearly 45 per cent year-on-year to Rs 2190 crore. Whereas in the same quarter a year ago, the company’s profit was Rs 1512 crore. During this period, the company’s revenue has grown by about 35 percent. At the same time, the board of HUL has announced a dividend of Rs 17 per share to the shareholders.



Income grew by 35 percent
In the fourth quarter of FY 2021, HUL’s income increased by 35 per cent. The company’s income during this period has been Rs 12,433 crore. Whereas HUL’s income was 9,211 crore rupees in the same quarter a year ago. However, there has been a decrease in other income. On an annual basis, the company’s other income in the fourth quarter stood at Rs 109 crore against Rs 266 crore.

EBITDA 3043 crores
HUL’s EBITDA for the fourth quarter is Rs 3043 crore on an annual basis. This is better than expected. The EBITDA of the company stood at Rs 2100 crore in the same quarter a year ago. HUL’s EBITDA margin for the fourth quarter on an annual basis was 24.5 per cent. HUL’s EBITDA margin stood at 22.8 per cent in the fourth quarter of FY 2020.

Income from home care business increased
In the fourth quarter of FY 2021, HUL’s income from home care business grew by 14.6 per cent to Rs 3838 crore. Whereas, in the same quarter a year ago, the income from the company’s home care business was Rs 3350 crore. EBIT from the company’s home care business grew by 27.7 percent to Rs 812 crore in the fourth quarter. Whereas the EBIT from HUL’s home care business in the fourth quarter of FY 2020 was Rs 636 crore.

Beauty & Personal Care
In the fourth quarter of FY 2021, HUL’s revenue from beauty and personal care grew by 19.7 per cent to Rs 4549 crore. Whereas in the same quarter a year ago, the income from this segment was Rs 3,801 crore. EBIT from the company’s beauty and personal care business grew 32.5 per cent to Rs 1,252 crore in the fourth quarter. Whereas the EBIT from this segment in the fourth quarter of FY 2020 was 945 crores.
