Huma Qureshi This film was a huge opportunity for me to be a part of this film. I have always loved action movies. I am not just a part of the film, but the plot of the film takes my character plot forward. I was able to add something to the film, so this film was also very important for me.
The actors of this film were injured many times during the shooting of the film, so Huma Qureshi was scared or not. In response to this question, she said that Ajit sir got hurt many times during the shooting but we always kept in mind that attention should be paid to the safety of everyone, whether it is an actor, stunt man or the entire team. Sometimes injuries happen but it can happen anytime and anywhere. During the shooting of this film, due care was taken in view of the safety.
On the experience of working with South’s superstar Ajit, Huma Qureshi said that he is a wonderful superstar. I can understand Tamil but cannot speak, so I had to add my dialogues and speak. In such a situation, if your co-star is not helping, then the whole process becomes very difficult. I always used to say sorry to her and she used to say don’t apologize. She is a very polite and lovely person.
Regarding pay disparity in Bollywood, Huma Qureshi said that women are often not given credit. The whole world is male dominated and this is wrong. We have equal rights on paper but in reality we do not. We are trying to fix it. Will we ever get 100% equal payment? I do not think so. But we aim to question and work towards it and see what kind of world we are heading towards.
On objectification of women in 2022, Huma Qureshi said that this is absolutely true. Men should take care of their work. They should be kept away from women’s clothes, their body shape. Women should decide what they are comfortable wearing and men should not get in the way. I think women should stop treating them as objects. Where are we wearing clothes for men? We dress well for ourselves, we should feel happy.
At the same time, on the success of her brother Shakib Saleem, she said that she is my younger brother. I get emotional seeing her acting. I am very protective of her. Even if there is a fight between us, then I say let’s leave, go. But if someone else does it, it affects me. We are very proud of her especially when she plays the character of a cricketer. She always wanted to play for Team India. She used to practice for hours in her childhood. We used to think that she will wear India jersey one day but life has different plans. Especially ’83’ was a very emotional film for us.
