ICAI CA Exams Postponed: In view of the rain and flood situation in Punjab and Jammu City, ICAI has postponed the CA Final and Intermediate examinations to be held on 3 and 4 September. ICAI CA Exams Postponed: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has decided to postpone the CA Final and Intermediate examinations to be held in Punjab and Jammu City on September 3 and 4. The announcement of postponing the examination in these states was made on Tuesday as a partial amendment to the earlier notification issued on May 30, 2025.
ICAI has not yet announced new dates for the examinations in the affected areas. Any update related to the ICAI CA Final and Intermediate examinations in these areas will be released on the official website of the institute www.icai.org. Therefore, candidates should check the official website for any updated information.
The decision to postpone the examination has been taken in view of the bad weather and flood conditions in some areas of Punjab and Jammu. Due to these conditions, normal operations have been disrupted and challenges have arisen in conducting the examination.
ICAI has clarified that the decision to postpone the examination is limited to specific centers in Punjab and Jammu. All other instructions present in the notification of 30 May 2025 will remain unchanged. At the same time, examinations in other areas will be held as per the previously scheduled plan. Revised schedules will be issued soon for the students registered at the examination centers mentioned here.

Punjab is going through its worst floods since 1988
According to official figures, Punjab is going through its worst floods since 1988. So far 29 people have died and more than 2.56 lakh people have been affected. All the districts of the state are being reported to be affected by the floods.
Large parts of Himachal and Jammu and Kashmir submerged
At the same time, after heavy rains in the upper areas of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, a large part of the state has been submerged by flood waters of Sutlej, Beas and Ravi rivers as well as seasonal drains. In Jammu and Kashmir, heavy rains and flash floods since August 14 have caused damage in Kishtwar, Kathua, Reasi and Ramban districts. Record rains on August 26-27 caused floods in many low-lying areas of Jammu.
