IFSC Code of Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank are closing with effect from March 1, 2021. These codes will not work after March 1, 2021.

If Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank are customers, then this news is of your use. Actually, after the merger of Dena and Vijaya Bank with Bank of Baroda, the IFSC code of these two banks are going to be closed from March 1, 2021. These codes will not work after March 1, 2021. If someone uses the old code then money will not be transferred. Bank of Baroda, the country’s third largest government bank, has given this information by tweeting.




Before that, Punjab National Bank (PNB) had also tweeted and told the customers that the old check book and IFSC / MICR code of Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) and United Bank of India (UBI) work till 31 March 2021 do.

IFSC code will be changed after March 1
Dear customer, please note that e-Vijaya and e-Dena IFSC codes are going to be closed from 1 March 2021. The bank said, it is easy to get new IFSC codes of e-Vijaya and e-Dena branches. Just follow the steps and experience the convenience.




What happens ifsc code
The IFSC code is 11 digits long. The initial four letters in the IFSC code indicate the name of the bank. The IFSC code is used during electronic payment. Bank’s IFSC code along with bank account number has to be added for online transaction. Any branch of the bank can be tracked through that code. The IFSC code can be used in National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) and Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS).

You can find out the IFSC Code through website, bank account and check book. Any person can find the IFSC code by visiting the website of the concerned bank. Apart from this, on the first page of the bank account passbook, you will have information such as account number, address, branch code, IFSC code and account holder name.
