IFFCO raised 300 rupees sack for DAP! Know the full truth of this news

IFFCO has issued a statement dismissing the ongoing news in the media. In a statement from IFFCO, it has been said that we have a stock of 11.26 lakh metric tons of fertilizer and farmers will continue to get it at the old price.

The hardships of farmers facing the Corona epidemic are increasing. The Indian Farmers Fertilizers Cooperative (IFFCO) of the co-operative sector has increased the price of Dye Ammonium Phosphate, or DAP, which we call dye in common parlance, by Rs 300. Last month, private sector companies also increased the price of 50 kg bag by Rs 300. However, IFFCO has dismissed the news of the increased price. IFFCO says that the pre-packaged fertilizer will continue to be sold at the old price.

IFFCO has issued a statement terming the news going on in the media as wrong. In a statement from IFFCO, it has been said that we have a stock of 11.26 lakh metric tons of fertilizer and farmers will continue to get it at the old price. Newly priced fertilizers are not for sale.

Price hike only temporary – IFFCO

IFFCO has said in its statement that we have strong objection to the news or tweet talking about linking with any political party or government to increase fertilizer prices. The talk of increase in fertilizer prices by IFFCO is only temporary. The international prices of raw materials are yet to be finalized by the companies. IFFCO says that the international market is seeing a rise in the prices of raw materials.

Pre-packed sack will be sold at the old price

IFFCO says that it is important for us as a manufacturer to print the cost on the new sack. The price written on the sack is temporary. We want to inform that sufficient material is available in the market at the old rates only. We have instructed our marketing team to sell pre-packaged fertilizers to farmers at the same rate. We always decide from the farmers’ point of view.

Where did the price rise come from?

In fact, a letter was issued on April 07 from IFFCO’s Marketing Services Department. In this paper, the increased prices of DAP and other fertilizers have been mentioned. The letter states that the increased prices are effective from April 01. In this, the price of 50 kg bag of DAP is shown as Rs 1900. The letter is also signed by marketing director Yogendra Kumar.

Did IFFCO CEO and Managing Director?

IFFCO CEO and Managing Director Dr US Awasthi says that 11.26 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizer will be sold at old prices. He has tweeted that the 50 kg sack of DAP 1200, NPK (10:26:26) 1175 NPK (12:32:16) 1185 and NPS (20: 20: 0: 13) sack at a price of 925 rupees. Farmers will continue to receive. He has written that I have ordered the marketing team of IFFCO to sell the sack of already packed fertilizer to the farmers at the same rate.
