IGI Airport: Now ban on blowing horn at Terminal-3 of Delhi Airport, police issued notification

Delhi Traffic Police has issued a gazette notification to ban the blowing of horns by drivers during take-off and landing of aircraft at Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport to reduce noise pollution on the roads. Delhi Police said that it will be allowed to be played only in case of emergency. It was implemented with immediate effect.

New Delhi. Delhi Traffic Police has issued a gazette notification to ban the blowing of horns by drivers during take-off and landing of aircraft at Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport to reduce noise pollution on the roads.

The notification was issued on Wednesday. It said that noise pollution is caused by drivers blowing their horns during the landing and take-off of planes at Terminal 3 of IGI Airport. This causes a lot of problems to common people. It is important to stop unnecessary honking of horns during arrival and departure of aircraft at Terminal 3, as it causes a lot of damage.

Use horn only in case of emergency

Delhi Traffic Police Deputy Commissioner SK Singh has issued this notification under the Delhi Police Act, 1978. Under this, it has been said that it is prohibited to blow horns by drivers during the arrival and departure of planes at Terminal 3 of IGI Airport. Horn should be blown only in emergency situations.

Rules come into force with immediate effect

He said that in this regard, the concerned organizations will also put up signboards on the roads to follow this rule so that the drivers can follow it. He said that this rule has been implemented with immediate effect.
