Heavy rains and strong winds are likely in Gujarat, Konkan, Goa and Maharashtra in western India from 17 to 23 June. Heavy to very heavy rains will occur in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and other areas in southern peninsular India on Tuesday-Wednesday. During this time, strong winds are expected to blow at a speed of 40-60 km per hour.
Northeast India will receive rain for the next 7 days
Heavy rains will continue in Northeast India for the next 7 days, with Meghalaya facing extremely heavy rainfall warning on June 18 and 19. Heavy rains and strong winds are expected in Uttarakhand, eastern Uttar Pradesh and eastern Rajasthan in northwestern India from June 17 to 23.
