Weather Updates: There is a possibility of change in the weather in North India in the coming days. The IMD has predicted snowfall and rain in many states due to western disturbance on the night of 24 February. At the same time, a warning of thunderstorm and lightning has been issued in Northeast India on February 23. During the last 24 hours, the day temperature has dropped by 1-4 degrees Celsius in many parts of the plains of North-West India.
Temperatures have risen by 3-5 degrees Celsius in many parts of the Gangetic plains of West Bengal. Day temperatures were 1-3 degrees Celsius above normal in many areas of Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh.

The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast of rain in most parts of the state in the last two days of February.

According to the Meteorological Center Dehradun, cold is going to return once again in Uttarakhand due to strong western disturbances. Such weather was seen in the last days of February seven years ago in 2019. Then the minimum temperature of Dehradun reached 5.5 degrees Celsius. This time too, February 27 and 28 are going to be cold days again. Because most parts of the state with an altitude of up to 2800 meters are likely to receive snowfall for two days.
Before this, on 25 February, rain may occur at some places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Rudraprayag districts and snowfall may occur in high altitude areas. Whereas on 26 February, rain will occur at most places except Pauri, Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar. While snowfall will continue in high altitude areas.

After this, cold will increase with rain and snowfall in the entire state on 27 and 28 February. On Saturday, maximum temperature in Dehradun was recorded at 23.8 degrees Celsius and minimum at 11.6 degrees Celsius, maximum 25.8 and minimum 7.4 degrees in Pantnagar, 15.4 and minimum 4.4 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar. Maximum 15 degrees and minimum 4.8 degrees Celsius were recorded in Tehri.
