IMD has issued heavy rain alert for these states, Know the weather condition in your state

Weather Update: According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon may arrive in Kerala on June 1. At the same time, heavy rains are likely to continue in Kerala’s capital Thiruvananthapuram till June 2. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued a red alert for heavy rains till June 1 for Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh.

Rainfall Alert: Kerala is receiving heavy rainfall even before the arrival of monsoon. According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon may arrive in Kerala on June 1. However, pre-monsoon rains have been seen in Kerala for the last several days. According to the IMD, the pre-monsoon rains in Kerala will soon turn into monsoon rains by June 1. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert in Kottayam and Ernakulam districts and an orange alert in three other districts.

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, moderate to heavy rains are expected to continue in Kerala and Lakshadweep for the next few days. This pre-monsoon rain has intensified due to the recent cyclonic storm in the Bay of Bengal. The effect of the cyclone has pulled the moisture towards the Kerala coast, increasing rainfall on the west coast, especially in parts of Kerala and coastal Karnataka.

However, now the cyclone has weakened. Therefore, the intensity of rain is expected to decrease slightly in Kerala and Lakshadweep. Moderate rain and intermittent heavy rains are likely to continue for the next 3-4 days. The good news for both these states is that the monsoon season is near. Monsoon is expected to reach Kerala on June 1. But the monsoon will not start with very heavy rains. However, light to moderate rain and heavy rain once or twice is expected. At the same time, rain is also expected to intensify in Tamil Nadu and southern interior Karnataka.

Weather of Thiruvananthapuram

Continuous rain is being seen in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala. The Meteorological Department says that rain with thunder and lightning will continue in Thiruvananthapuram till June 2. At the same time, with the arrival of monsoon in Kerala, the intensity of rain in Thiruvananthapuram may increase. According to IMD, the maximum temperature of Thiruvananthapuram may remain between 30 to 32 degrees Celsius throughout this week and the minimum temperature is likely to remain between 24 to 25 degrees Celsius.

Clouds will rain in these states

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy rain in Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh till June 1. At the same time, moderate to heavy rain is possible in Northeast India, Lakshadweep, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rain is expected in coastal Karnataka and north-eastern Bihar. Apart from this, light rain is expected in Tamil Nadu, Konkan and Goa and southern interior Karnataka. At the same time, sporadic light rain is possible in the Western Himalayas on May 30.
