IMD Rain Alert: Rain will bring relief from heat wave in these states, check the weather condition in your state

Monsoon Rain: By June 20, the monsoon should have normally covered most parts of central India such as Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, parts of Gujarat and other places. But this has not happened.

IMD Monsoon Rain Alert : The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that after a gap of about nine days since June 11, the monsoon has advanced into Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, northwest Bay of Bengal, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and parts of Bihar on Thursday. After 9 days of calm, the advancement of monsoon has caused rain in many states of the country. The IMD said that northwest and eastern India, which are facing severe heat, may also get relief, as the heat wave conditions are likely to subside in most parts of the country in the next 4-5 days.

By June 20, the monsoon should have normally covered most parts of central India such as Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, parts of Gujarat and other places. But by Thursday, the northern limit of monsoon is passing through Amravati, Gondia, Durg, Rampur (Kalahandi), Malda, Bhagalpur and Raxaul.

The IMD has said in its report that conditions are favorable for further advance of southwest monsoon into north Arabian Sea, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, northwest Bay of Bengal, parts of Gangetic West Bengal, remaining parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, parts of Jharkhand, some more parts of Bihar and some parts of East Uttar Pradesh during the next 3-4 days.

According to the IMD, heavy rains are likely over Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra in the next five days. Heavy to very heavy rains are likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Assam and Meghalaya in the next two days. Thereafter, heavy rains may occur at isolated places.

“Heat wave conditions are not likely over most parts of the country in the next 4-5 days,” the IMD said. So far, heat wave conditions prevailed over parts of northwest and east India for almost the entire month of June. The heat also troubled people during nights.

Heat wave to severe heat wave conditions prevailed over Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, parts of Chandigarh and some areas of Uttarakhand and eastern Uttar Pradesh. Heat wave conditions prevailed over Delhi, western Uttar Pradesh, parts of Punjab and some areas of Jammu, Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar.

IMD has fixed the date of arrival of monsoon in Delhi-NCR. Let us tell you that the maximum temperature in many areas of Punjab and Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, some areas of northern Rajasthan and some areas of Uttar Pradesh was between 43-45 degrees Celsius. In many areas of north-west and eastern India and northern Madhya Pradesh, the maximum and minimum temperatures were 4-7 degrees Celsius above normal on average.
