IMD Rainfall Alert: Two new Western Disturbances have arrived, rain warning has been issued in these states till February 28.

IMD Rainfall Alert: Scattered rain will occur in Jammu and Kashmir on February 26 and 27, and in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on February 27 and 28. Dense fog is likely to persist from morning to evening in some areas of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh until February 26.

IMD Rain Alert, Weather Update 25 February: Two new western disturbances are approaching the hilly states of North India. Due to these weak western disturbances, rain and snowfall warnings have been issued for the hilly states on February 26-28 and March 2 and 3. Furthermore, maximum temperatures in many parts of northwest India are expected to be three to five degrees above normal this week.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of scattered to fairly widespread rain, lightning and strong winds of 30-40 kmph in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on February 25 and 26. Apart from this, an alert has been issued for scattered to moderate rain in Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, South Interior Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep on February 25. The same is likely in North Interior Karnataka on February 25 and 26 and in Telangana on February 26. There will be scattered rain in Jammu and Kashmir on February 26 and 27, and in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on February 27 and 28.

Dense fog is likely to persist from morning to evening in some areas of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh until February 26. Maximum temperatures will increase by two to three degrees Celsius over the plains of northwest and central India during the next seven days. No significant change in maximum temperatures is expected over Maharashtra during the next 24 hours and will increase by two to three degrees Celsius over the subsequent six days. No significant change in maximum temperatures is expected over eastern India during the next two days.
