IMD Rainfall Alert: Warning of rain with strong winds for 3 days in Delhi-NCR due to active Western Disturbance

The air in six areas reached very poor category

Once again the pollution level is increasing in the capital. On Thursday, the air quality index of six areas of Delhi reached above 300 i.e. in the very poor category. The month of January was extremely polluted in Delhi, but in February and March, due to various weather reasons, the air remained more or less clean.

Gurugram remains hottest in NCR after Delhi

The heat has started showing its anger in the month of April itself. Gurugram experienced the maximum heat in Delhi-NCR on Thursday. According to the Meteorological Department, the heat will trouble even more in the coming days. The maximum temperature in Gurugram was 38.5 degrees Celsius, while 40.1 degrees Celsius in Delhi’s Najafgarh, 37.1 degrees Celsius in Ghaziabad, 38 degrees Celsius in Faridabad and 38 degrees Celsius in Noida were recorded on Thursday. On Thursday, the maximum temperature recorded in the district was 38.5 degrees Celsius, which was 2.4 degrees Celsius more than normal. There was a decrease of 0.1 degree Celsius in the maximum temperature as compared to Wednesday. Whereas on Thursday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 21.06 degrees Celsius, which was Recorded 0.6 degrees Celsius more than normal. Compared to Wednesday, an increase of 4.02 degrees was recorded in the minimum temperature. It was much warmer on April 11 than last year. This year, the heat has broken the record compared to last year. The maximum temperature recorded on Thursday was 38.05 degrees Celsius, whereas in the year 2023, the temperature was 34.09 degrees Celsius on April 11.

Chance of rain on April 13

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of cloudy weather with rain from 13 to 15 April. On April 13 and 14, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert and advised to remain alert.

Greater Noida’s air reaches ‘very poor’ category

At the same time, the air of Greater Noida was recorded in very poor category on Thursday. The air quality index (AQI) of the city was recorded at 301. The air has been in poor to very poor category for the last three days. Noida’s AQI was recorded at 217. The maximum level of PM 10 has reached 500 in Greater Noida. At the same time, Sector-1 was the most air polluted place in Noida. The AQI here was recorded at 254. Earlier, the air of Noida and Greater Noida was recorded in moderate category on April 8. Since then, the AQI of Greater Noida is poor and very poor. Decrease in wind speed is believed to be the reason for increase in air pollution. If the wind speed remains normal, similar conditions may prevail on Friday also. The maximum temperature of Noida was recorded at 38 degrees Celsius on Thursday. The minimum temperature was 19.5 Celsius. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, light rain is expected from April 13 to April 15.
