IMD Weather: There will be snowfall in these states today along with heavy rain; Orange alert issued

Today the people of the capital (IMD Weather) enjoyed the rain amidst the cold of March. This year’s rains and winds made the weather of Delhi even more pleasant. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain and snowfall in the Western Himalayan region till March 3. Today, there may be hailstorm in West Madhya Pradesh, Haryana-Chandigarh, Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh, West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, East Rajasthan.

Weather Update Today: Today the people of the capital enjoyed the rain amidst the cold of March. This year’s rains and winds made the weather of Delhi even more pleasant. The first week of March may remain cold.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain and snowfall in the Western Himalayan region till March 3. Talking about today, hailstorm may occur in West Madhya Pradesh, Haryana-Chandigarh, Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh, West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, East Rajasthan. For this, IMD has issued an orange alert.

How will the weather be in Himal?

There is a warning of heavy rain with storm, lightning, hailstorm and strong winds at isolated places in Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Kinnaur and Lahaul and Spiti districts of Himachal Pradesh. There may be storm and lightning at different places here from March 2 to 3. On March 1, fresh snowfall occurred in the higher reaches and mountain passes of Himachal Pradesh, leading to closure of 241 roads and four national highways, PTI reported.

Weather will change in Uttarakhand and Kashmir in the first week of March

Let us tell you that due to western disturbance, there is a possibility of snowfall in the Western Himalayan region on March 1 to 3 and March 6 to 7. In Uttarakhand, there is a possibility of heavy rain/snowfall today i.e. on March 2. According to IMD Dehradun, there is a possibility of heavy snowfall at higher altitudes in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts of the state.

In Kashmir, the weather department has predicted moderate rain or snowfall till March 3. Here, rain or snowfall will be more extreme from the night of March 1 to March 2.

What will be the condition of North-East India?

In Northeast India, scattered light rainfall and snowfall is predicted over Arunachal Pradesh during the next 6 days, while heavy rainfall and snowfall is likely over Arunachal Pradesh on March 4 and Sikkim on March 3.
