IMD Weather Update Today 22 March 2024: India Meteorological Department released the weather report saying that due to a cyclonic circulation over North Jharkhand, there will be heavy rain in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim and Widespread rainfall with isolated thunderstorms and lightning is likely over states like Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.
The temperature in Chennai is expected to be 31 degrees Celsius.
Apart from this, there will be rain with strong winds in parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Kerala in southern India, but Chennai is likely to have clear sky and maximum temperature around 31 degrees Celsius, IMD said.

Meanwhile, there is a possibility of sporadic heavy rain and snowfall in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim till March 25.
