Important News For Account Holders: Know how to identify fake messages coming in the name of bank

Online fraud has peaked in India since digital transactions increased. It has become very important to be careful while doing online transactions and taking online services from various merchants. These frauds can be avoided to a large extent if the account holder is attentive and aware. ICICI Bank, in an email to its customers, outlined measures to avoid banking fraud.




ICICI Bank has shared three tips that will help in identifying fraud

ICICI Bank says that it does not provide any type of KYC reward. It is clearly fake. The link above is fake.

Y-Cash 2: When such a message arrives, congratulations are written, Rs 3,30,000 has been deposited in your account. For this process, please fill in your details at http://i2urewards.cc/33.

ICICI Bank says that no company ever gives such a large amount of cash for free and the message given above seems fake. Stay away from such messages.

Third, 8726112@vz.com: IT refund has been started. Today is the last day to claim it. For this you go to http://itr.trn./toref.

ICICI Bank says pay attention to suspicious IDs. This is fake.

Earlier, the State Bank of India (SBI) had also advised its customers to be vigilant and avoid it by opening up their claims of getting jobs online.

What did sbi say

Use your hand to cover the keypad when using an SBI ATM card on an ATM or POS machine.

Never share your SBI PIN / Card details with anyone.

Never write SBI PIN on your card.

Do not reply to messages, emails or calls for the details of your PIN or card.

Do not use the numbers as your PIN from your birthday, phone, or account number.

Remove your transaction receipts.

Look for spy cameras before starting your transaction.

How to file cyber crime complaint:

To file a cyber crime complaint, you have to go to the cyber crime portal (https://cybercrime.gov.in/) and click on ‘Report other cyber crimes’ and then click on the ‘File a complaint’ option . It is mandatory to give correct and accurate details while filing complaint regarding prompt action. In case of an emergency you can contact the local police.
