Important News: If caught without a mask at the railway station, then a fine of 500 rupees will be imposed.

The railway has said that now if someone does not wear masks inside the train or in the station premises, then a fine of up to 500 rupees can be imposed on him.

The railway has said that now if someone does not wear masks inside the train or in the station premises, then a fine of up to 500 rupees can be imposed on him.

Indian Railways is taking various measures to contain the spread of the resurgence of Covid-19 pandemic. One of the specific guideline is to wear face masks / covers.

In a statement issued by the railway, it has been said that the penalty order for not wearing masks will remain in force for the next six months. Many state governments have also issued such orders on not wearing masks. The Uttar Pradesh government has issued a decree that if caught without a mask for the first time, then there will be a fine of Rs 1,000, while the second time the fine will be Rs 10,000.

Patna station administration also took this decision

Earlier, the Patna Railway Administration had taken a strict decision regarding those who do not wear masks. If anyone is found without mask in Patna station premises, then he will have to pay a fine of 500 rupees. A special mask checking campaign is being carried out in the railway station premises to take strict action against the people.
