According to the Henley Passport Index 2025, Indian citizens can travel to 58 countries without a visa.

Some of the most popular destinations on this list include Indonesia, Mauritius, Kenya, the Maldives, and Thailand, known for their beautiful natural landscapes and culture. Furthermore, countries like Laos, Madagascar, Fiji, and Zimbabwe offer unique and different experiences. Let’s give you the full details.

Visa-Free Destinations for Indian Citizens

This is a list of countries and islands located on different continents. Some of these are small island nations, while others are located in Africa and Asia:

Countries in Africa: Angola, Burundi, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, Ethiopia, Somalia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Seychelles, Mauritius, Madagascar, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Guinea-Bissau, Djibouti, Cape Verde.

Countries in Asia: Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Maldives, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, Laos, Macau (part of China), Qatar, Jordan, Mongolia, Timor-Leste.

Travelling to a neighbouring country

Many countries around India offer Indian citizens visa-free entry or easy entry procedures, making travel easier. Nepal has an open border with India, requiring no visa or elaborate procedures; you can enter directly. Bhutan does not require a visa; you simply need an entry permit, which is easily obtained. Sri Lanka offers Indian citizens a “visa on arrival” upon arrival.
