Now a new decision has been taken keeping in mind the lower class passengers. New trains will be started for such people who do manual labor.
Rail travel should be easier for poor people
A railway official told about the new decision that the trains which are going to be started keeping in mind the workers will not be only for a special time but will be permanent. Right now only a decision has been taken about this and work is about to start on it. The operation of these trains, which are being started for economically weak people, will start from the coming year. Linke Hoffmann Busch coach will be there in these trains. In which there will be both general and sleeper coaches. Also, this train will be completely non-air-conditioned. So that its rent is not high.
Where will this train run?
The route of the trains has not been decided yet. But the government wants to run these trains on those routes where there is more movement of working class. Also where the voting list is more. Research has been done by the Railways for this. It has been revealed in this research that states like Assam, Odisha, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Guwahati have more number of low income passengers in trains. That’s why the route will be prepared keeping them in mind.
Why is it needed?
Many artisans and laborers go to work in big cities and metros. Right now some coaches are added to the trains for them. But even after this the number of passengers is so high that the voting list becomes huge. In such coaches, double the number of people are filled than the capacity. In view of this problem, the Railways is going to start trains keeping only one class of passengers in mind.
