IRCTC News: ECR CPRO Rajesh Kumar said that more than 24 pairs of passenger special trains have been run on different routes in the last one week. Travel can be done in these trains without making a reservation.

Indian Railway latest news: In the corona epidemic lockdown, there was a break on the services of Indian Railways, which has now come back to a large extent. During the unlock, express trains started running continuously by making Covid Special Trains and now more than 65 percent trains are running on the track. Unreserved trains have also started in recent times, in which you will be able to travel without having to make a reservation.

Let me tell you that in June 2020 last year, Mail Express trains started as special, but tickets were not available in unreserved category. It was illegal to travel on these trains without reservation. At the same time, passenger trains were also closed. But for the convenience of the passengers, now the unreserved category has also been unlocked.

Rajesh Kumar, Chief Public Relations Officer, East Central Railway, Hajipur Zone, told that over the last one week, more than 24 pairs of Passenger Special Trains have been run on different routes. On March 5 and then on March 8, passenger special trains have started operating on many routes. Travel can be done in these trains without making a train ticket reservation.

33 Western Railway trains also

Indian Railways has identified 33 trains of Western Zone for unreserved category. These trains are running as special trains, in which general class coaches will also be present. According to Western Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Sumit Thakur, till further notice, a total of 33 special trains comprising general second class, DEMU and MEMU coaches have also been approved to run as unreserved special trains in lieu of reserved special trains.

Of the 65 special services of these trains, 12 services are from Mumbai Central Division, 22 services Ratlam Division, 8 Services Ahmedabad Division, 13 Services Vadodara Division, 6 Services Rajkot Division and 4 Services are Bhavnagar Division. Out of these 33 trains, 29 trains are in passenger special category, while the other 3 trains are in Mail / Express category.

In general category without reservation, even higher rent will be charged.

Ordinary mail express trains are being run by Indian Railways as specials, in which the fare is also being charged more than usual on special days. Now these rules have also been applied to unreserved tickets in general category.

In the trains which have been marked as unreserved trains or will be carried forward by the Railways, the fare will be applicable according to the Mail Express trains for the journey. This means that passenger special trains will also charge higher than normal. The most important thing is that currently unreserved travel tickets will be issued only for select trains.

Tickets can be collected from both the booking counter and the UTS app

You can take unreserved tickets for general category from the booking counter of railway stations, you can also book tickets from the mobile app UTS. For this, the railway’s UTS app should be installed on your Android mobile or iPhone. Here, by creating a user ID account, you can cut the ticket by paying through the payment merchant.

Tickets booked through the app will be saved on your mobile. There will be no need to print it separately. When the TTEs come for ticket checking in the train, they can show them a soft copy of the apple ticket in the mobile. That will be enough.

It has been instructed by the railways that it will be mandatory to follow the Kovid protocol at the station or during the journey. Passengers will be required to follow adequate social distancing, wear face masks and follow other guidelines.
