Now incidents of fighting in airplanes are becoming common. The latest case has happened in an Indigo flight. One passenger slapped another over some issue.
A passenger slapped another passenger on Friday in an IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Kolkata. Sources said that the incident took place in flight number 6E138 and after the plane landed at Kolkata airport, the accused passenger was handed over to the security team.
Why did he slap?
The number of people on board the plane was not immediately known. The reason why the passenger slapped the other passenger is also not known. A video related to the incident went viral on social media, in which a passenger sitting on his seat can be seen suddenly slapping another passenger. After the incident, the other passenger started crying and was removed from the spot.

Apart from this, in the video, a crew member can be heard telling the passenger sitting on the seat, ‘Don’t do this’, while another passenger is heard asking why he slapped and that he has no right to hit anyone. A passenger is also heard saying that the person who was hit had panicked. However, it could not be immediately ascertained at what time the incident took place. The incident took place in the ‘Airbus A321’ aircraft.

IndiGo tweeted on the matter on Twitter, “We are aware of an incident of assault on one of our flights. Such indecent behavior is completely unacceptable and we strongly condemn any act that compromises the safety and dignity of our passengers and crew. Our crew acted as per the established standard operating procedures. The person concerned was identified as the indecent person and handed over to security officials on arrival. As per protocol, all relevant regulatory agencies have been duly informed. We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment on all our flights.”
