Internet will remain closed in many districts of in this state from tomorrow, decision regarding farmers’ movement

Haryana Government has suspended mobile internet services, bulk SMS and all dongle services provided on mobile networks, except voice calls, in most areas of Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind, Hisar, Fatehabad and Sirsa districts. This order will be in force from 6 am on February 11 to 11:59 pm on February 13.

Farmers of Punjab-Haryana have once again announced to march to Delhi with their demands. The farmers had announced to reach Delhi on 13 February. In view of this, the Haryana government has started taking strict steps. On one hand, roads have been fenced and on the other hand, mobile internet has been stopped in many districts.

Haryana Government has suspended mobile internet services, bulk SMS and all dongle services provided on mobile networks, except voice calls, in most areas of Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind, Hisar, Fatehabad and Sirsa districts. This order will be in force from 6 am on February 11 to 11:59 pm on February 13.

The order issued by Haryana’s Additional Home Secretary said that in view of the call for farmers’ agitation made by some organizations, there is a possibility of tension, irritation, agitation, damage to public and private property. There is a possibility of disturbance of peace in Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind, Hisar, Fatehabad and Sirsa districts. In such a situation, it can be broadcasted to the public through social media/messaging services on mobile internet services, SMS services and other dongle services.

Temporary suspension of telecom services is imposed to prevent the spread of misinformation and rumors through various social media platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook Twitter etc. on mobile phones and SMS. This order is issued to prevent any disturbance of peace and public order in the jurisdiction of Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind, Hisar, Fatehabad and Sirsa districts including Dabwali in the State of Haryana and w.e.f. 11.02.2024 (06 :00 hrs) to 13.02.2024 (23:59 hrs).

Permanent barricading on Shambhu border

Shambhu border of Haryana-Punjab has been closed permanently. The reason, last time the barricading done by the police was thrown into the river by the farmers with their tractors. Therefore, this time huge cement barricades have been placed on the highway and a cement wall has been erected on the entire highway. After this, these barricades have been blocked with cement and concrete.
