IPL 2021: DC vs SRH will be a fierce competition, will Delhi benefit from Shreyas Iyer’s return?

Delhi. In the 33rd match of IPL-14, today there will be a match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Delhi Capitals have become stronger with the return of Shreyas Iyer. After which DC will start its campaign afresh. Delhi’s target will be to maintain the form of the first leg. This match will be played in Dubai at 7:30 pm.

Let us inform that Delhi Capitals are in second place with 12 points from 8 matches, while Sunrisers have only 2 points from 7 matches and are at the bottom. Sunrisers have won only one match in IPL 2021 so far. In the first leg of the current IPL, Delhi defeated Hyderabad in the Super Over.

The Rishabh Pant-led side finished the first leg with a win and would like to start with a win in the UAE as well. To do this, they have good attacking batsmen, who can tear down any good attack and Sunrisers will be no exception.

Dhawan and Shaw will open the innings

Opener Shikhar Dhawan will be desperate to prove the selectors wrong, who did not include Shikhar Dhawan in the T20 World Cup squad. Young will open the innings with Prithvi Shaw. Shreyas Iyer’s return from injury has strengthened Delhi’s middle order, which also includes Rishabh Pant, Australia’s Steve Smith and Marcus Stoinis and West Indies’ Shimron Hetmyer.

Eyes on Rabada-Avesh Khan

Delhi’s bowling attack is also strong, with Avesh Khan and Kagiso Rabada bowling amazingly in the first leg. Rabada has been bowling effectively in the powerplay and death overs. Apart from this, there are spinners like experienced Ravichandran Ashwin, Amit Mishra, Axar Patel, Lalit Yadav and Praveen Dubey in the Delhi team.

SRH’s expectations from Warner

As far as Sunrisers are concerned, a win will boost their morale and help them stay in the tournament. However, he will miss Jonny Bairstow, who has decided to pull out of the second leg. In such a situation, Australian opener David Warner will have to take more responsibility.

He will be led by Rashid Khan in the bowling, who will have to show discipline to curb Delhi’s batsmen at the Dubai International Stadium.

The teams are as follows –

Delhi Capitals (DC): Rishabh Pant (Captain), Ajinkya Rahane, Prithvi Shaw, Ripple Patel, Shikhar Dhawan, Shimron Hetmyer, Shreyas Iyer, Steve Smith, Amit Mishra, Anrique Nortje, Avesh Khan, Ben Dwarshuis, Ishant Sharma, Kagiso Rabada , Kulwant Khejroliya, Lukman Meriwala, Praveen Dubey, Tom Curran, Umesh Yadav, Axar Patel, Lalit Yadav, Marcus Stoinis, Ravichandran Ashwin, Sam Billings and Vishnu Vinod.
