IPL 2021, SRH vs DC: Sunrisers fast bowler T Natarajan Corona positive, but match will start on time

SRH vs DC Match Update: Sunrisers Hyderabad fast bowler T Natarajan has been found to be Kovid-19 positive. There was doubt about the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals to be played on Wednesday evening, but the BCCI has made it clear that the match between the two teams will be played at the Dubai International Stadium on time. At present, Natarajan and the players and other staff members who came in contact with him have been isolated and the medical team is monitoring them.

The medical team has identified 6 members who came in contact with the player, including team’s key batsman Vijay Shankar, team manager Vijay Kumar, physiotherapist Shyam Sundar J, Dr Anjana Vannan, logistics manager Tushar Khedkar and net bowler Periyasamy Ganesan. All these have been kept in isolation.




According to a BCCI release, “Sunrisers Hyderabad player T Natarajan has tested positive for COVID-19 in the RT-PCR test. The player has isolated himself from the rest of the team and is not showing any symptoms as of now. The rest of the team’s local time today RT-PCR test was done at 5 am, including close contacts. All reports have come negative. As a result of tonight’s match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals played as scheduled at Dubai International Stadium in Dubai will go.”
