To become an IRCTC agent, you have to make a DD of Rs 30000 in the name of IRCTC. Out of which you will get 20000 rupees back, when your agreement with IRCTC is completed or you will cancel it. Every year you have to pay Rs 5000 as agreement renewal charge to IRCTC.
Earning can be 30 to 40 thousand every month
By becoming an IRCTC agent, you can earn around 30 to 40 thousand rupees. You can charge Rs.50 more on agent AC ticket and Rs.30 more on sleeper ticket. This is your additional commission. However, taking more commission than this can result in cancellation of the license.
