New Delhi: The IRCTC website for online railway ticket booking went down again today. Officials with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) said the problem was due to technical reasons. Efforts are underway to fix it.

This isn’t the first time the IRCTC train ticket booking site has gone down. This happened three times in December 2024. This time too, the service went down a day before Dhanteras, when Tatkal booking was supposed to begin.
This message is appearing on the website:
As soon as you open the IRCTC website, you’ll see a message. It says, “Downtime Message: Booking and cancellation services are unavailable on this site for the next hour. Sorry for the inconvenience. To file a cancellation or TDR, please call customer care numbers 14646, 08044647999, and 08035734999, or email etickets@irctc.co.in.”
