IRCTC’s new facility: Now book buses and taxis tickets with IRCTC’s new facility, flights and trains

After the train and the flight, the Indian Railways has started preparing to book the tickets for the buses. The purpose of this booking through IRCTC is to provide last mile connectivity to the passengers. For this, IRCTC has prepared to start service with more than 50 thousand bus operators from 26 states. Soon, Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari will start this service.

A senior IRCTC official told Amar Ujala on the request for anonymity that IRCTC is Asia’s largest e-commerce body. We will work as a multi-mode transport agency. After train and flight, IRCTC will now start booking tickets for buses and taxis as well. Our objective is to provide last mile connectivity to the passengers.

He said that passengers have to take a bus or taxi even after flight and train journey to reach their assigned place. Due to this, many times they also have to face trouble. IRTC is going to start this service to reach the passengers and save them from the hassle. For this, we are also going to tie up with the country’s big aggregator company and the state transport corporation. Through this, apart from the bus, taxis will also be provided to the passengers.

At present, the website has the option of booking in train and flight. Soon buses and taxis will also be given the option. Through which passengers will be able to book tickets given their time and convenience. For this, IRCTC will charge a commission of 5 to 15 percent of the base fair.
