Documents required to file ITR
You should keep certain documents with you while filing the return. To ease the process of filing Income Tax Return (ITR), it is important to keep all the required documents with you. Most of the salaried taxpayers use the ITR-1 form and most of the information in it is pre-filled.
First update bank account, then file ITR
In the new e-filing portal also, the data in ITR-1 is pre-filled. However, keep in mind that the new tax filing portal is facing several technical issues, due to which you should check the details already filled in the ITR form. You cannot file ITR on the new income tax portal unless you update your bank account details. Once check whether the bank details are updated in the new portal or not. If not, then update the bank account, then file ITR, your work will be done easily.
