The Income Tax Department had on 30 December 2020 extended the last date for filing personal income tax returns from 10 December 2021 to 31 January 2020 due to the corona virus. According to the data of the Income Tax Department till January 10, a total of 5,95,15,322 ITRs have been filed. As of September 10 last year, 5,67,01,229 ITRs were filed. In the ITR, taxpayers fill seven different forms according to their merit.
