Srinagar: Among the three terrorists killed in an overnight encounter with security forces in Sopore area of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir, one wanted terrorist Mudassir Pandit and the other terrorist was a resident of Pakistan. The police gave this information on Monday. Kashmir Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar said that the encounter started on Sunday night in Gund Brath area of Sopore in North Kashmir district.
On receiving information about the presence of at least three terrorists, including Mudassir Pandit, in the overnight encounter area, the security forces launched a cordon and search operation here. He said that the notorious Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Mudassir Pandit was killed in an encounter with security forces in Sopore. He was involved in the recent killing of three policemen, two councilors and two civilians.
