Digital company Jio has announced the launch of an online shooting game – ‘Call of duty’ mobile aces e-sports challenge on the JioGames eSports platform in partnership with mobile chip maker Qualcomm. . The Call of Duty game is published by Activision Publishing of America and is a rival to PUBG. PUBG is banned in India. Jio and Qualcomm CDMA Technologies Asia Pacific Pte (QCTAP) have started registration for the first e-competition of ‘Call of Duty’ in India, with a prize of Rs 25 lakh.

According to a joint statement, the ‘Call of Duty Mobile Aces eSports Challenge’ will be open to both Jio and non-Jio users. Qualcomm India President Rajan Vagadia said that mobile gaming is one of the fastest growing sectors in India. Nearly 90 percent of gamers in India are using their mobiles as their primary device for gaming.

Vagadia said, ‘We wanted to collaborate with a brand like Jio, which understands the opportunity deeply and whose faith matches ours’. Both individual players and teams can participate in the tournament.
