The members of the Symphony Orchestra group had the privilege of going on a world tour with the late Lata Mangeshkar. A member of this group said, “When I first went for the recording of Lata Didi, at that time Hridaynath Mangeshkar was recording for a Marathi film named ‘Jait Re Jait’.
Sony Entertainment Television’s talent reality show ‘India’s Got Talent’ is going to show grand premiere episodes this weekend. In both these episodes, the top 14 contestants are going to show their talent. During this, Contestant Ishita Vishwakarma, who came from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh, got a surprise when the emperor gave her a big special and emotional gift. Actually, in the last episode, she promised to give a gift to Ishita. She introduced Ishita to a 20 piece symphony orchestra group and said that she would perform with this orchestra group.
Badshah told that the members of this 20 piece symphony orchestra group had the privilege of going on a world tour with late Lata Mangeshkar. Arvind Haldipur, a member of this group said, “When I first went for the recording of Lata Didi, at that time Hridaynath Mangeshkar was recording for a Marathi film named ‘Jait Re Jait’. There was a song in the film. , for which a little fast music was to be given. I played a piece and Lata didi was also present at that time. She lowered her glasses and looked at me and after sometime a co-ordinator came to me and said to me, ‘I want your passport’ .’ When I asked why? He said, ‘You have to travel with Didi (Lata).’ So this was my first experience traveling with Didi.This event took place in 1978 in Moscow.
Ishita performed with this orchestra group on the song ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’, which filled everyone’s eyes. Congratulating Ishita on her performance, Badshah said, “You deserve this orchestra and it deserves you.” Many thanks Ishita, I wish you all the very best!” Further, Badshah also recited a small heart-touching poem which she had written for Lata ji.
Talking about her performance, Ishita said, “I can only thank Badshah sir for this kindness. It was a great pleasure to perform with the 20 Piece Symphony Orchestra, who traveled with Lata Mangeshkar ji. and performed all over the world. It is going to be a memorable experience for me and it will remain in my memories forever! I am also thankful to the judges who have given me the title of Choti Lata. It is indeed a big honour. Lata Mangeshkar Ji is an institution and she will continue to inspire every Indian, especially me.”
