Haryana

The Haryana government has declared January 22 as a dry day in view of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya. This announcement was made by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday. An official release quoting Khattar said that all liquor shops in the state will remain closed on January 22. Apart from Haryana, recently Madhya Pradesh has also declared dry day on 22 January.

Dry day in Madhya Pradesh also

All schools and colleges will remain closed in Madhya Pradesh on 22 January. Apart from this, liquor shops will remain closed. CM Mohan Yadav gave this information. Prasad will be distributed in Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed to keep January 22 as a dry day in the state. He instructed the District Magistrates to ensure its compliance. Dhami stressed on the system of distributing Prasad to the underprivileged through public participation. CM advised to distribute Prasad in major temples and Gurudwaras on January 22. There was also talk of including millet from Uttarakhand in this Prasad.

Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh government has decided to celebrate dry day on 22 January. Instructions have been issued by the Excise Department to ensure strict compliance with this decision of the government. It was said that the decision regarding dry day has been taken under sub-section (1) of Section 24 of Chhattisgarh Excise Act, 1915. All country liquor and foreign liquor retail shops, restaurant bars, hotel bars and clubs will remain closed within the state on January 22.

Rajasthan also announced

Not only this, Rajasthan government has also declared 22 January as dry day in the state. According to the order issued by the Finance Department (Excise) on Sunday, January 22 has been declared a dry day in Rajasthan in view of the consecration of Lord Ram in the temple built at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya. Joint Secretary of Finance Department (Excise) has issued this order.

There will be dry day in Assam also

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has declared January 22 as a dry day in the state. He posted on Twitter and said, “In the Assam Cabinet meeting, it was decided to keep a dry day on the occasion of the death anniversary of Ram Lalla Virajman. Also, the Chief Minister Mahila Entrepreneurship Campaign was approved. This is a new scheme which provides financial assistance to rural women entrepreneurs. Will support in kind.”
