The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has assured the public that the supply of LPG cylinders remains completely stable and that there is no shortage anywhere. The Ministry has appealed to people not to panic and engage in excessive stocking, but rather to use gas responsibly. The government stated that, owing to the robustness of the existing distribution network, the availability of LPG is being continuously monitored to ensure an uninterrupted supply to households across the country.

The Ministry has also emphasized the promotion of digital channels for LPG booking. Currently, approximately 95% of consumers are utilizing online methods such as IVRS, SMS, WhatsApp, and mobile apps. The government has advised consumers to continue using these convenient and efficient digital channels to prevent overcrowding at gas agencies and ensure that service delivery remains smooth.

BPCL has announced that, for the convenience of migrant workers, its BharatGas Mini 5 kg cylinders are readily available. Customers can easily procure a BharatGas Mini cylinder by visiting their nearest BharatGas distributor and presenting any valid form of identification (ID proof). A key feature of this service is that the cylinder can be returned within five years, entitling the customer to a 50% refund. Much like Indane, BPCL has also stated that there is no need for panic and has advised customers to ignore baseless rumors.
