LPG Gas Price: Good news, gas cylinder becomes cheaper before the new year, check new rates

LPG Gas Cylinder Price: A few days before the New Year, petroleum companies have given big news. These companies have reduced the prices of commercial gas cylinders by Rs 39.50. The new prices of commercial gas cylinders have also come into effect today. However, there has been no change in the price of gas cylinders for domestic use.

Know the new prices of commercial gas cylinders in Delhi now

The price of commercial gas cylinder in Delhi till now was Rs 1796.50. But now its price has come down to Rs 1757.

Know the new prices of commercial gas cylinders in Mumbai and Chennai now

Similarly, earlier the price of commercial gas cylinder in Mumbai was Rs 1749, which has now come down to Rs 1710. Talking about Chennai, the price of commercial gas cylinder has come down to Rs 1929. Earlier it was Rs 1968.

New price of commercial gas cylinder in Kolkata

Commercial gas cylinder price in Kolkata is now Rs 1868.50. Whereas earlier this price was Rs 1908. The increased prices have come into effect from today.

Previous changes in the price of commercial gas cylinder

Earlier, the price of commercial gas cylinder was increased by Rs 21 on December 1. Whereas on November 16, its price was reduced by Rs 57.50. On November 1 and October 1, its price was increased by more than Rs 100. Its price was drastically reduced on September 1.

No change in domestic gas cylinder prices

There has been no reduction in the prices of 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinder. It was last reduced by Rs 200 on August 30, 2023. Talking about the current price of domestic gas cylinder, it is Rs 903 in Delhi, while in Kolkata its price is Rs 929 per cylinder. Similarly, in Mumbai the rate of domestic gas cylinder is Rs 902.50, while in Chennai the rate of domestic gas cylinder is Rs 918.50.

Subsidy difference between domestic cylinder and commercial LPG cylinder

Domestic LPG cylinders are subsidized, whereas commercial LPG cylinders are not subsidized. The purpose of subsidy on domestic LPG cylinders is to provide relief to below poverty line and middle class families. The amount of subsidy varies per cylinder and depends on LPG prices in the international market. Commercial LPG cylinders are not subsidized as it is assumed that industries are able to bear the full cost of LPG.

Petrol and diesel rates have not changed

There is a slight increase in the price of crude oil today. In morning trade, Brent crude is trading at $ 79.98 per barrel, up by $ 0.59 or 0.74 percent. WTI crude also increased by $ 0.55 or 0.74 percent and reached $ 74.44 per barrel. In Delhi, petrol is available at Rs 96.72 and diesel at Rs 89.62 per litre. There has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel in the country since May last year.
